LPC Expands – Acquires Kryptonite Cases

Building upon its existing engineering and design expertise, LPC recently closed on the friendly acquisition of Kryptonite Cases, a custom road case manufacturer specializing in the production and entertainment industries. Kryptonite is best known for crafting cases to accompany touring bands and singers (including Santana, Lady Gaga, and Keith Emerson) and other entertainers with highly specialized needs.
Over the last 13 years, the company has also built custom ATA cases for professionals in several related fields including AV, music, marching band field equipment, photography, lighting, audio and high-end electronics. More recently, Kryptonite has expanded into constructing road cases to service various types of sporting equipment and equestrian gear.
Kryptonite Cases was originally started in 2003 by Gary “Bear” Ursinger to design customized road cases for a variety of businesses in the Bay Area. In the past decade, Kryptonite has developed a reputation for crafting highly durable, long-lasting cases for customers throughout the world.
In 2014, Kryptonite was bought by Dave Medd, best known as a musician and member of hit bands,The Tubes and The Greg Kihn Band. With LPC’s acquisition of Kryptonite Cases, the company has added Medd to it’s team and has become more fun!

The LPC-Kryptonite combination of knowledge, experience and engineering, facilitates the company’s long-term goal of developing cases for customers across a wide breadth of industries. In the near future, LPC expects its custom ATA case presence to grow significantly in the production and entertainment markets.
